I come to you with good news today, and that good news is that Jesus is the Healer. His desire is for you to be healed, healthy, and whole. Sickness and disease are not His will for you neither is it His work in your life. It’s amazing how many people do not know this today. It seems people have the impression that Jesus either doesn’t heal anymore or He heals only certain ones that may be “His will” to heal. But, what does the Bible say about that? The best way to answer that is to look at the life and ministry of Jesus Himself as revealed in the Bible, especially the gospels.
In the book of Matthew chapter 4 verse 23, it says,” And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, and preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all manner of sickness and all manner of disease among the people.” Notice, the Bible says He healed ALL manner of sickness and ALL manner of disease. In other words every type of sickness and disease that existed in Jesus’ day, He healed people of. In Matthew chapter 8 verse 16 it says, “When the even was come, they brought unto Him (Jesus) many that were possessed with devils: and He cast out the spirits with His word and healed all that were sick:” This verse actually says that He healed ALL that were sick. Wow. So He healed people from every type of sickness and disease and also healed every single person that came to Him for healing. So that is enough to let us know what the will of Jesus is regarding sickness and those who are sick. Someone may object and say that Jesus did those things then, but not now, things are different. But the Bible also says in Hebrews chapter 13 verse 8, “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” So if Jesus is the same today as He was then, then it must be His will for people to be healed today and it was then.
Never, not one time in the ministry of Jesus do we ever see Him putting sickness or disease on anyone. Check the stories in the gospels yourself and see if you can find even one instance where He did that. I’ve yet to find one time that He did. Now someone may point me to the Old Testament under the law where things like that happened, but we must remember that Israel was under a different covenant and Jesus had not yet come. Jesus is the perfect revelation of the Father. Insomuch that He said, “He that hath seen Me hath seen the Father.” (John 14:9) So Jesus came to perfectly represent the Father to us. What Jesus did was what was the will of the Father (John 6:38). So every miracle and every healing and every blessing that Jesus bestowed on mankind was the will of the Father.
It is the will of God for you to be healed today. Jesus is the Healer. By His stripes, you were healed (1 Peter 2:24). Stop believing the lies of the devil and the traditional doctrines of man and by faith acknowledge your healing and wholeness through Jesus today. You need not be sick. You need not to suffer from pain and weakness. You need not die from this condition. Jesus is the Healer!!! Glory to God!!
